At the grand Chauk Ganesha pandal, there will be a harmonious blend of devotion to Lord Shiva, with beautiful displays featuring 12 sacred Jyotirlingas.
Today, we are witnessing the grand celebration of Lord Shri Ganesh’s worship and devotion in the form of Ganeshotsav. Pandals dedicated to Lord Ganesh adorn various locations throughout the district, including the city. At this auspicious moment, we are preparing to install captivating idols of Lord Ganpati and set up altars. Elaborate aartis will grace the pandals in both morning and evening.
Within the city, 32 prominent sites have a rich tradition of erecting pandals devoted to Lord Ganesh. These pandals will showcase a variety of idols, ranging from petite to towering at 10 feet in height.
Ganeshotsav also brings a convergence of devotion towards Lord Shiva in the city. The Maan Vijayasan Utsav Committee, located at Bad Chauk, will feature 12 Jyotirlingas at their pandal, adding a spiritual dimension to the festivities. The idol of Lord Ganpati has been brought here from the Devaas and expertly crafted by artisans hailing from Bengal.
To ensure a safe and orderly celebration, the police have compiled lists of committees and furnished them with guidelines for the Ganesh festival within the city. Nighttime patrolling will be intensified, and committee members are expected to be present at the pandals during these hours. The police have diligently gathered vital information from the festival committees and prepared a comprehensive list of pandals.
